Prime immagini per Rise of Nightmares, primo gioco horror per Kinect di Sega

Arrivano ore le prime piccole immagini per Rise of Nightmares primo gioco horror per Kinect sviluppato da Sega. Il gioco ci vedrà in cerca di nostra moglie rapita dagli zombie e da altre abominevoli creature in una lugubre villa sperduta tra le nebbie. Nel gioco dovremo usare armi prettamente da mischia come asce, coltelli, mazze o semplicemente i nostri pugni. Restiamo in attesa di sapere qualcosa di più di quello che sembra sempre più essere una nuova versione del classico arcade House Of The Dead per Microsoft Kinect.

Primo video in game per Arrival, l'ultimo DLC di Mass Effect 2

Dal sito internet GameSpot.com arriva il primo video in game per l'ultimo DLC di Mass Effect 2 chiamato Arrival che sarà disponibile da domani su Xbox Live e da mercoledì su PSN. Come precedentemente affermato nel DLC vestiremo i panni del Comandante Shepard incaricato di liberare una dottoressa rapita dopo aver scoperto uno strano manufatto dei Razziatori che ne preannuncerebbe l'invasione della Terra. Prime scansioni per Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

Ecco a voi le prime scansioni ufficiali di Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City pubblicate sulla rivista ufficiale Playstation britannica. Pare confermato che nel gioco si rivivranno in parte le vicende vissute in Resident Evil 2 e 3 viste sotto una diversa prospettiva e diversi personaggi. Tuttavia volti storici della saga torneranno in questo episodio, come Leon Kennedy che vedete raffigurati nelle immagini qui sopra. Il titolo uscirà il prossimo inverno su PS3, 360 e PC.

IGN recensisce The 3rd Birthday - 8.5 su 10

Continuano le ottime uscite Square Enix per PSP. Dopo l'ottimo picchiaduro di ruolo Dissidia 012 uscito venerdì scorso, dal prossimo venerdì 1 aprile arriverà il tanto atteso terzo capitolo della serie Parasite Eve denominato The 3rd Birthday e in uscita esclusivamente sul portatile Sony in barba ad una certa nuova console 3D arrivata da pochi giorni sul mercato. Con l'uscita del gioco sui principali mercati, arrivano anche le prime recensioni che premiano senza troppe sorprese la nuova avventura di Aya Brea. Secondo IGN il gioco è graficamente uno dei migliori titoli presenti nell'intero parco giochi di PSP, la giocabilità è davvero ottima garantendo una intensità in grado di renderlo epico e una longevità più che buona che si assesta sulla dozzina di ore per la sola storia principale escludendo quindi i segreti, gli sbloccabili e le sezioni alternative che si possono prendere. Ecco a voi il giudizio integrale di IGN:

9.0 Presentation

Fuss-free, mostly logical menus and solid map systems. The HUD is a little messy at times, but there's a lot to this game - and SE did a good job of keeping things in order.

9.0 Graphics

Gorgeous and thoughtfully designed throughout. This is certainly one of the best looking PSP games on the market.. Excellent cinematics too.

7.5 Sound

The soundtrack is well composed - but a little ho-hum. The voice acting is at the mercy of the script, which wavers between decent and awful.

8.5 Gameplay

As shooters go on PSP, The 3rd Birthday goes farther and performs better than most. Epic, intense and mostly very enjoyable. Good pace, clever bosses and plenty of unlockables.

8.0 Lasting Appeal

A good dozen or so hours of gameplay, plus cheats, secrets, unlocks and alternate routes. Rock solid handheld gaming.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City formalmente annunciato da Capcom

Dopo la conferma da parte del magazine OXM della scorsa settimana, arriva ora anche quella ufficiale di Capcom. Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City sarà uno spin off della serie sviluppato dalla software house Slant Six Games che ci permetterà di vestire i panni di quattro diversi personaggi tutti in qualche modo collegati alla Umbrella Corporations. Non sono state rilasciate immagini o video allo stato attuale ma solo la press release totalmente in inglese che potete leggere a seguire che conferma l'arrivo del gioco il prossimo inverno su PS3, 360 e PC. Confermate inoltre, ma c'era da aspettarselo, svariate modalità multiplayer on line. Da notare inoltre che viene infine confermata ufficialmente una demo di Resident Evil Revelations per Nintendo 3DS inclusa in Mercenaries 3D in uscita a breve sempre per il nuovo portatile Nintendo.

Latest iterations of horror coming to home console, PC and handheld

San Mateo – March 29, 2011 – Capcom® a leading worldwide developer and publisher of videogames, today announced Resident Evil®: Operation Raccoon City, is in development for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® and PC. In addition it was also confirmed that the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS™ title, Resident Evil®: The Mercenaries 3D,will ship with a playable demo of Resident Evil® Revelations.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is collaboration between Capcom and Vancouver based studio Slant 6 Games and is scheduled for release this Winter. Since the launch of the first title 15 years ago the Resident Evil® series has enjoyed phenomenal success, selling over 45 million units worldwide to date. This latest offering will take the series in a completely new direction and offer a style of gameplay yet to be seen from the franchise.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City delivers a true third person team based shooter experience set within the dark and sinister Resident Evil universe and a reinterpretation of the events depicted in Resident Evil® 2 and Resident Evil® 3. The setting of the Resident Evil universe not only provides a rich backdrop to the action but delivers a unique and thrilling triple threat battle. Zombies and Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.W’s) add to the mix as players not only compete against an opposing squad but also tackle this third unpredictable element, creating a brand new style of gameplay and breaking the conventions of traditional team based shooters.

It is September 1998 and the action centers once more on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrific consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak from the Umbrella facility. With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Hearing of this plan, the US Government dispatches its own special forces to uncover any evidence that exposes the cause of the viral infection and Umbrella’s actions. Players take on the role of an Umbrella Security Services soldier (U.S.S.), competing alone or in four player co-op in a battle against all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City.

Expect the return of original Resident Evil enemies, iconic landmarks such as the Raccoon City Police Department and fan favorite characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, who as a rookie police officer in Raccoon City is on your hit list to eliminate. DLC annunciati per Mortal Kombat e roster di personaggi completo

Spunta in rete un immagine di quello che dovrebbe essere il roster completo di personaggi selezionabili in Mortal Kombat. Il giorno del lancio potremo utilizzare da subito 28 personaggi ovvero: Scorpion, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sub-Zero, Sindel, Ermac, Reptile, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Jade, Mileena, Nightwolf, Cyrax, Noob Saibot, Smoke, Sektor, Sonya, Jax, Kano, Stryker, Shang Tsung, Baraka, Kabal, Raiden, Cyber Sub-Zero, Sheeva, Quan-Chi e Goro. Oltre a questi arrivano anche i primi personaggi che NetherRealm rilascerà tramite DLC per il gioco, si tratta di Kenshin e Scarlet. Il primo lo conosciamo già, apparso per la prima volta in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance è il monaco cieco armato di katana, mentre la seconda è una novità per la serie di Mortal Kombat nata a causa di un errore nel primissimo episodio della serie. Nel cabinato da sala giochi di Mortal Kombat nei primi anni '90 infatti, vi era un glitch grafico che colorava di rosso gli abiti di Kitana, molti giocatori credettero si trattasse di un personaggio nascosto e le diedero un nome, appunto Scarlet. Dopo più di 20 anni la leggenda diventa realtà e Scarlet sarà la quarta ninja di sesso femminile ad essere presente nel gioco. Ricordiamo che Mortal Kombat uscirà il prossimo 21 aprile su PS3 e 360.

Lancio di Nintendo 3DS a New York in immagini

Ecco le immagini del grandioso lancio americano del Nintendo 3DS che si è tenuto a New York presso un punto vendita della catena Best Buy. Presenti all'evento il mitico presidente di Nintendo Of America, Reggie Fils-Aime alias Donkey Kong, che ha firmato autografi a più non posso e diversi cosplayer, nelle immagini quelli dedicati a Samus Aran di Metroid e a Captain Falcon di F-Zero. Inoltre il mitico Triforce dopo oltre 7 giorni di attesa davanti al negozio ce l'ha fatta ancora una volta ad avere la console prima di tutti ottenendo anche il riconoscimento e l'autografo di Reggie. L'evento poi si è spostato all'esterno del negozio dove si è tenuto il lancio in aria degli occhialini 3D, le prove della console on street e la consegna di numerosi gadget uffiiciali Nintendo. Pubblico in delirio, centinaia i presenti, un successo incredibile per la nuova console Nintendo.
